Just a great all rounder ! Easy to drive, loads of room for the size of car. Great driving position, cheap to run.
This is my third A-Class and overall I am absolutely thrilled to bits with it It gets used daily for my business and the load carrying capacity is superb. I have had no major faults on all three of my A-Classes, although one though I needed a servic... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
Greetings from Sydney, Australia! This is my second A160 since 1999 and have now driven 175,000km in these fantastic cars. Unbeatable safety, versatility, space and residual value. Great economy and slick gear changes make it a pleasure to ... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
My Wife's car. She loves it, but I hate the terrible ride, horrendous servicing costs, arrogant Mercedes dealers and poor dealer workmanship She will not have another one simply because she does not like being ripped off by the dealer.
We bought this new nearly 2 years ago, with aircon as an added option. It looks good and has a quality feel, and the gearbox is excellent. The ride is a bit too firm, but it goes round corners very well After 2 weeks the power steering pump failed, ... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
Wife's car - Purchased nearly new from dealer & run for the past 2 years. Good little car for her and our son on the nursery school run, shopping and the ocassional long distance trip away. Unfortunately even though the deal i was offered on my a-class was amazing (mainly due to my previous one being declared undriveable 3 times in 3 years for suspension failure) i have to rate this vehicle as quite a serious lemon. Mercedes service charges, what a complete rip off Who do they think they are kidding £400 for an 18000 mile service + extra if they have to replace or top up any fluids Never again, I want my Ford Focus back.
We like it. Got it brand new on a 52 plate and now had it a year. Only done 3k miles though, it's a 2nd car. It's nice. It did think it wanted servicing at 1000 miles but it was wrong! Dealer sorted it out for free.
Run as second car and generally trouble free However, poor service from Mercedes dealer and eye-watering service costs (£400 for 20K mile service) means we will never buy another Mercedes Mercedes should take some lessons from Jaguar in custome... I've driven second-hand Mercedes cars (two 190s, a 350SE and my wife's E220 Coupe) since 1989 and been a total fan of Mercedes build quality, reliability, and consequent economy to run. In 2001 I had the opportunity to spend £18,000 on a compan... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
I found the A-Class good on all counts. One of best cars owned, size of car and engine makes it a winner. No car is perfect but it is near so I have just bought a new one. MB and dealers rubbish
My A-Class is a superb concept but is let down by the worst build quality of any car I have driven in the past 25 years - and I have driven very many different vehicles: a 1937 Buick limo, a 1953 Fiat and numerous modern Audis, Fords, Citroens, Rena... Gear box has gone at fewer that 30,000 miles and I know of someone else who had the same.Had problem with the brakes early on. Sluggish and noisy. Worse still the arrogant and unpleasant people at Mercedes servicing Don't buy one!
I like the car and the practicality of it, but the Mercedes service and charges are terrible.
My wife's car and she loves it for getting the Kids in and out. Petrol consumption also excellent. I hate this car - it drives (wobbles) like Poo! MB serviving costs are astronomical, also don't trust anything they say. Overall quality and ride ... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.

Bought myself an A190 at the end of 2004. So far so good. Love the interior and find it surprisingly quick.
This car is a piece of junk. It has needed two rear suspension arms, new steering column, burst diesel pressure pipe, gear box problems and various other faults Everyone I know who has one has the same faults. The car must be dangerous with the stee... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.

Generally poor build quality. Seats and dashboard lined with very cheap plastic that creaks and groans when the car is driven. How many 4 year old cars need a steering rack replaced after 50,000 miles? A common problem I found out afterwards. What about leaking petrol, and rusty springs> This was my first and last Mercedes Benz>
Think again if you want an A140 Standard faults are locks that continually break, steering clunks, apparently all lefties been converted to right hand drive. My engine blew up 2 weeks out of warranty (tough luck was the word from Mercedes, took 9 we... To read the FULL REVIEW, click here - Its FREE to browse, you just need to register.
Bought it expecting trouble-free motoring given the Mercedes reputation for build quality and reliability. What a heap of junk. Good sturdy family car, limited boot space but feels very solid. There are a few common electrical faults, alarm going off, interior light coming on whilst driving. Great car. Perfect for a family with small children when you don't want a huge 4x4 type vehicle to drive around in.
We love the car but were amazed to have to change both rear trailing arms at 40k miles. More surprised to be told this was a common fault. Is this right, has anyone experienced this and why on earth haven't Mercedes warned everybody?
NOT UP TO MERCEDES STANDARD. HARD RIDE. NEEDED NEW STEERING COLUMN AFTER 30K MILES AT COST OF ÂŁ456.27. THEN 2 STABILISER RODS AT35K MILES ÂŁ164.50. REGULARLY SERVICED.
Car Ok but paying the same service costs as a C class is a joke and now a £1200 bill to replace the clutch at 50,000 miles! For goodness sake this car competes with a Ford Focus whose clutch replacement cost must be lower.
Had the car from new. Now 50000 miles. Carries enormous quantities for size of car. Big gripe - servicing costs - watch out for Merc Dealers charging you for more oil than the cars capacity.
This car was bought from a dealer who ran the car from new for 6 months as their Finance Manager's car.
